ABOUT ME
Hello there! You can call me Boxxie. I’m a 22 year old crafty person who’s living in the east of England. I was originally born in Texas, USA, but moved to the UK permanently in 2010.I’ve been drawing art practically since I was born. Some of my oldest recorded fandom artwork I have is of Sonic the Hedgehog from when I was no older than 7 years old. Then in 2011, I ventured into the world of digital art. I stayed up all night after school making animations on my Nintendo DSi using Flipnote Studio. If you remember me from Hatena, you’re a real OG!I came across the furry fandom in late 2013 or early 2014. I was fortunate enough to buy myself a fursuit at just 12 years old! From there, I worked on creating my SeventhLayer brand to showcase my fursuit content and artwork. What does “SeventhLayer” mean, you may ask? I’ll be honest… I don’t exactly know! I just thought it sounded cool. For my final years of education, I decided to study photography as a national diploma. I was lucky to have the opportunity to work in an award-winning photography studio, and I went to a school that allowed me to explore and express myself. I purchased a DSLR camera for my studies back in 2019 and have been using it ever since. Now that I’m older, I have more freedoms to attend events and visit new places. You can find me running around, taking pictures at conventions and being a goofball in silly animal costumes. If you see me, don’t be afraid to say hi!
PHOTOSHOOTS
Please make sure to read the photography section in my TOS before using my photos or buying a photoshoot! Failure to adhere to my rules may result in you being restricted from accessing my content and services.
WHAT I OFFER
I’m offering 1-on-1, duo and group photoshoots this year at Furcation. The event space itself has some lovely backdrops for photos, but by purchasing a longer time slot, we are able to travel out to the local beach and arcade for more pictures.TIME SLOTS
I offer photoshoots in 15 minute time slots. This way, you have more options to fit a photoshoot in around the con schedule! You can book as many of these slots consecutively as you need and it’s up to you how you use the time slot you have allocated. If you have ideas to move to new shooting locations or have a large group that needs more setup time, please note this will eat into your allocated time slot. I suggest purchasing more time, or else you will receive fewer photos than average.PRICING
Each 15 minute time slot that you purchase is a base price of £8. This is for one person to receive an average of 15 to 25 photos. Each additional person is an extra £4 on top of the base price. For example, three people for 45 minutes would cost £32.
AVAILABLE SLOTS*
Early arrival (THU) - an hour after I arrive until 16:00
Day 1 (FRI) - 13:30 to 16:00
Day 2 (SAT) - 13:30 to 14:00 then 21:00 to 22:30 DJ**
Day 3 (SUN) - 13:30 to 14:00 then 21:00 to 22:30 DJ**
Day 4 (MON) - 11:00 to 16:00
Late departure (TUE) - Not available
*Slots are subject to change at any given notice. If I have time to reschedule, I will offer you a new time slot. Otherwise, I will offer you a full refund in the event of my cancellations.
**DJ photo shoots can only be booked for 15 minutes. These are experimental as I am not very familiar with low-light photography.
FAQ
”HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY PHOTOSHOOT?”
In order to reserve your slot, I require full payment upfront. Payment is to be made via Bank Transfer or PayPal in £GBP.”I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND. CAN I GET A REFUND?”
Yes! As long as you give me at least 24 hours notice before the photoshoot, I can offer you a full refund. Please read my full refunds policy in my TOS here.”I CAN’T AFFORD A PHOTOSHOOT. CAN I STILL GET PICTURES AT FURCATION?”
Absolutely! I’m a staff photographer at Furcation this year. If you can’t afford a photoshoot with me directly, make sure to jump in front of my camera while I’m on shift! I’ll snap some photos of you, but any photos I take on shift are property of the convention. You’ll have to wait for them to be uploaded after the con is over.”WHEN WILL I HAVE MY PHOTOS?”
I try to get the photos out to you on the day they were taken. But I am staff at Furcation this year, so I may be too busy to get the photos out right away. At the most, you could be waiting a month to receive them.“WE DIDN’T USE ALL OF MY TIME SLOT. CAN I GET A REFUND?”
It’s up to you to make sure you are using the time slot to the fullest. I will not offer refunds for wasted or unused time.”IT’S RAINING. DOES THIS MEAN MY PHOTOSHOOT IS CANCELLED?”
Unfortunately, yes. My camera equipment is not waterproof. If I have available time, we can reschedule for free! Otherwise, I will offer you a full refund in the event of adverse weather.“I DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE FOR PHOTOS. CAN YOU HELP ME?”
Of course! I have a few standard poses that I like to do with most people. However, I strongly suggest doing some research beforehand to know in advance what kind of poses you want or are capable of doing. Having a clear idea of what you want will ensure you use the time slot to the fullest and come away with the most photos. DM me and we can discuss the poses in advance!“CAN I HAVE THE RAW FILES?”
Photography is my art. The way I edit my photos and compose the image is all part of what you get when buying a photoshoot from me. It’s a reflection of my brand and my quality, therefore I do not give out the RAW files. Besides, I shoot in JPG haha! If you are specifically after RAW files, please inquire about this separately and I may be able to provide extra photos outside of a photoshoot.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Please make sure to read the photography section in my TOS before using my photos or buying a photoshoot! Failure to adhere to my rules may result in you being restricted from accessing my content and services.
I only upload my furry photography to FurTrack (HQ) and Telegram (LQ). Both are public and free, so please come have a look!
PHOTOSHOOTS
WHAT I OFFER
I offer 1-on-1, duo and group photoshoots at events or your choice of location! If I’m already attending the event, I won’t charge extra, but travelling out to new places will cost an additional *travel fee. Click here to see what events I’m attending!TIME SLOTS
I offer photoshoots in 15 minute time slots. This way, you have more options to fit a photoshoot in around a furmeet or con!

The word “day” is used loosely to mean a photoshoot that may take ~2 hours or more, or spans across an afternoon. Like for example, you are hosting a birthday party and want me there to take photos on and off for the whole day. Day pricing is a flat rate £80. This covers any additional people, but does not cover the travel fee.*TRAVEL
Have an idea for a cool photoshoot or want me to come take photos at other events? I’m happy to travel anywhere that is covered by public transport! I expect that you pay at least half of my travel costs. For example, it costs me £17.25 to get to London Furs. If I’m not attending and you want me there to take photos, it will cost you £8.60 in addition to the price of the photoshoot.
FAQ
”I CAN’T AFFORD A PHOTOSHOOT. CAN I STILL GET PICTURES?”
Maybe! I usually have my camera with me when visiting events. If you spot me taking photos, don’t be afraid to ask for one! As long as you don’t violate my TOS or blacklist, there should be no objections.“WE DIDN’T USE ALL OF MY TIME SLOT. CAN I GET A REFUND?”
It’s up to you to make sure you are using the time slot to the fullest. I will not offer refunds for wasted or unused time.”I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND. CAN I GET A REFUND?”
Yes! As long as you give me at least a days notice before the photoshoot, I can offer you a full refund. Please read my full refunds policy in my TOS here.“WHY WOULD I PAY FOR PHOTOS WHEN I CAN USE MY PHONE?”
I have studied photography at school and have 4 years of experience. You are paying for my knowledge, my equipment and my time. You also get my composition, style, and a full editing service which includes lighting and colour adjustments, and removal of any imperfections! While phones are advancing, a DSLR camera is designed specifically for taking photos, so the results are arguably better :p“I DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE FOR PHOTOS. CAN YOU HELP ME?”

COMMISSIONS
I am indefinitely CLOSED for new commission and trade inquiries.
I no longer have time for artwork while I focus on my photography business.
TOS
Please familiarise yourself with my TOS and rules before commissioning me or using my work. Regardless if you have read these terms, you automatically agree to them when entering into business with me. Failure to follow these terms on multiple occasions will result in you being blacklisted. This may mean that I will avoid you at events, refuse to take photos of you, or refuse commissions from you. Also note that my TOS is subject to change at any given notice. These terms are correct as of April 2023.
QUEUE
Worried that I’ve forgotten about your commission? Please check my Trello queue to see where you are on my list! I usually do my work from left to right, top to bottom. Still don’t see your work? Send me a message!
GENERAL TOS
PAYMENT
All payments are in £ GBP. Bank transfer is preferred, but unless agreed otherwise, all payments are to be made through PayPal invoicing. Please provide me with your email so that I can send you the correct payment request.REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
My refunds and cancellations policy varies depending on the type of work you have purchased from me. Please refer to the relevant section to learn more. Regarding donations and tips, these are always non-refundable. Please make sure you are happy with the work you have received before leaving a tip!DEADLINES AND WAIT TIMES
I cannot work to deadlines and I cannot guarantee when your work will be finished. As a general rule of thumb, I try to prioritise paying customers first, but this is NOT a guarantee. I am a busy person and I have to manage life with ADHD and Autism. I find even the most basic of tasks harder than usual, so please be patient and understanding!ABUSE AND SPAM
I will not tolerate bribery, harsh language, threats or repeated spam messaging. I reserve the right to terminate our business for any behaviour I deem inappropriate or that makes me uncomfortable.FRIENDS AND MUTUALS
On occasion, I may offer discounts or special benefits for mutuals and friends. However, you are NOT entitled to any special treatment by being my friend. Please do not think you can be my friend to get free gifts from me. Friends are not exempt from my TOS and must still follow my rules.FREE GIFTS AND TRADES
Any work that I offer to do for free or any work I give as a gift has NO monetary value. This is the same for art trades as the artwork was not exchanged for real money. Please do not resell my acts of kindness for profit. It’s hurtful :(
PHOTOGRAPHY TOS
LICENSING
My photography is licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND. What does this mean, you may ask? In simple terms, you cannot edit my photography, you cannot make money from my photography, and you must credit me as the photographer when posting my work.REPOSTING
As mentioned above, you are allowed to repost my photography ONLY IF credit is given. Please @ me in the captions of your posts in a way that links back to my profile. Try your best to link back to my correct social media. For example, if you are reposting on Twitter, please link my Twitter account.WATERMARKS
Looking for unwatermarked photos? Unfortunately, this is not a service I am able to offer at the moment. My watermark acts as proof that I am the photographer of that photo. If any copyright issues arise, I am able to use my watermark to prove my ownership. However, if you purchase a photoshoot with me, all photos come with a smaller watermark as standard! I also understand that some social media sites crop posts automatically, but please do not deliberately crop my watermark out. My watermark also does NOT count as credit. You MUST still @ me in any reposts that you make.COMMERCIAL RIGHTS
You are not allowed to use my photography in any way that generates you money. Even if you paid for a photoshoot, this does NOT include commercial rights. For example, putting my photo on a shirt and selling it, or using my photos to advertise commissions etc… is prohibited. If you would like to use my work commercially, please contact me to discuss further.WAIT TIMES
I always try to prioritise paying customers first. If you have purchased a photoshoot with me and are waiting for the photos, please check my Trello queue to see where you are on my list. I try to get the photos to you within a month since the event, but this is NOT a guarantee. Any photography I do for free has no time limit and may take months or even years to be finalised and uploaded. Please be patient!PAYMENT
As of recent, I have decided to only accept bank transfer or PayPal. All photoshoots must be booked and paid for in advance, unless I explicitly offer that you can pay on the day with cash. If you are paying cash, you must pay before the photoshoot happens. I’ve had instances where people forget to pay when they agree to use cash and walk off without paying. This causes trust issues and disrupts my workflow.REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Can you no longer attend the photoshoot you had booked? No worries! As long as you give me at least 24 hours notice from the time slot you had booked, I can give you a full refund. Did you attend the photoshoot but decide you no longer want the pictures? I always provide sample photos so you can see if you like the way they came out. But if you are still unhappy, I can give you a 50% refund. Please note that your photos will be permanently deleted after receiving a refund and you will no longer have access to them.TRAVEL FEE REFUNDS
I purchase tickets in advance in order to get the best rate and secure my seating. In most cases, these tickets cannot be cancelled. If you paid my travel fee so that I could visit you, unfortunately this is non-refundable. On the off chance that I can cancel the ticket, I am happy to offer a full refund!

SUPPORT ME
I currently work just one day a week so it’s a bit hard to make ends meet. I love coming out to events, sharing my photos, my art and my presence with everyone, but it all takes time and money which I don’t always have. If you enjoy what I do, please consider supporting me so that I can continue!
My Ko-fi is always open for small (or large) money donations if you’re feeling generous! A little goes a long way. If you donate, please let me know who you are so I can offer my gratitude.
I’m an Epic Games Content Creator. You can support me by using code FoxxieBox in the Fortnite Item Shop, in Rocket League, in other games and when purchasing anything from the Epic Games Store. I receive a small percentage of the money made using my Creator Code, so please consider using it when making game purchases (it’s free!)

SEVENTHLAYER’S
A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO FURSUIT SPRAYS
All About Fursuit Sprays
What is a fursuit spray?
A fursuit spray is usually a travel-sized bottle filled with a sweet or floral scent, isopropyl alcohol and water to help dilute the mixture. These sprays are designed to add a quick spritz of good smells and freshness to fursuits. What is “IPA”?
Isopropyl alcohol, often abbreviated to IPA, is a potent alcohol solvent that has great disinfectant and cleaning properties. It can be medical grade, used for cleaning things like cuts and scrapes, but it can also be used as an all-purpose cleaner for worktops and other surfaces. IPA can be a key ingredient in things like paint strippers and nail polish removers, but when diluted, it can be safe to use in body rubs, hand lotions and other cosmetics. You may also hear it be referred to as isopropanol, or when it’s diluted, it can be called rubbing alcohol. Will a fursuit spray clean my fursuit?
Contrary to popular belief, no, a fursuit spray does not clean or disinfect a fursuit. The majority of fursuit sprays contain less than the 70% recommended IPA needed to kill bacteria properly. IPA evaporates very fast. If there is too much alcohol, it will evaporate before it has a chance to kill bacteria, hence the need to dilute it a bit. But too little of the alcohol means that there is not enough to disinfect anything. Unless the ingredients of your fursuit spray suggest that there is 50-70% IPA, it should not be used as a substitute to washing your suit. Please please please, wash your fursuits!!If a fursuit spray needs 70% IPA to clean my fursuit, then why is it diluted?
All fursuit sprays are diluted, mostly due to the properties of the IPA that’s in them. IPA smells super strong, so most fursuit sprays are diluted to ensure that you are smelling the nice fragrance, rather than the potent IPA. As well as this, the strength of pure IPA can cause things like dizziness and skin irritation, so it’s diluted with water to reduce damage to your health. As I will also mention below, some fursuit sprays use scents that contain dyes or colourings. Fursuit sprays may be diluted to reduce the strength of the dye in an effort to minimise damage to your fursuit. What’s the difference between essential oils and fragrance oils?
Most fursuit sprays contain some type of scent, and unfortunately, not everyone discloses exactly what they are using in their sprays, nor do the manufacturers of the scented oils themselves disclose what they use to make them. Essential oils and fragrance oils are not actually the same thing, so what’s the difference?
-Essential oils are usually marketed as being ‘pure’ extracts from natural substances like lavender, rosemary, oranges and lemons. They tend to have better ‘healing properties’ and more natural, lifelike smells. However, any cheap essential oils bought online are often not as pure as they are marketed to be. This is because it costs too much to properly extract and concentrate the scent into an oil. So don’t hesitate to ask what essential oils are in your fursuit spray - you have a right to know if it’s a legitimate oil that’s being sprayed onto your precious fursuit!
-Fragrance oils are very artificial. They are made using a mixture of ingredients to try and replicate a more specific smell such as baked bread, cinnamon roll, pumpkin spice and candy cane. If you see a fursuit spray with a really abstract or unnatural scent, there’s a high chance it was made using a fragrance oil, rather than an essential oil.
The Dangers of Fursuit Sprays
Are fursuit sprays harmful?
If not used properly, yes, fursuit sprays can be harmful to both humans and fursuits.
-For humans, IPA should not be ingested, come into contact with your eyes or have prolonged contact on your skin. As mentioned previously, pure IPA can cause dizziness and skin irritation. On a more severe end, with regular contact and ingestion, it can poison you. In rare cases, it can even lead to a coma. Please monitor your well-being around fursuit sprays!
-For fursuits, many foam bases are patterned with Sharpie or other markers. IPA can cause this to bleed and stain your suit’s fur. Similarly for fursuits that have airbrushing or painted eyes, the IPA in fursuit sprays can strip the paint. IPA can also remove glue, so it may begin to loosen the hot glue that keeps your suit’s fur onto the base. As well as mentioned previously, the scented oils that are used in fursuit sprays are often not pure. They may contain artificial dye or colourings that could stain your suit’s fur. Even natural colourings can still leave a stain. Please test the spray before using it directly on your fursuit, especially if it has white fur! What should I do if I get the fursuit spray on me?
As dangerous as I might make things sound, IPA and scented oils, especially when diluted with water, are pretty harmless. Most scented oils are supposed to be body safe anyway, however, scented oils may contain allergens like limonene. If you have sensitive skin, please monitor your health near fursuit sprays. Otherwise, if you get some fursuit spray on your hands, don’t worry! Just wipe it off or rinse your hands. The most likely thing that could happen is your hands might become a bit dry as the alcohol can take the moisture out of your skin. Just apply a bit of hand cream or moisturiser if need be! You might also notice that the spray feels very cold to touch if it gets on your skin. This is because the alcohol evaporates fast using your body’s heat. As the heat is extracted from your body to evaporate the alcohol, your skin is briefly left feeling colder, but it shouldn’t be anything to fear! Do pay close attention to your skin and if you notice any changes or start feeling unwell, speak to a doctor. My eyes! My eeeyyyeeesssss!!!
If you got the fursuit spray in your eyes, do not rub them. Remain calm and wash your hands first. Then rinse your eyes with water for as long as 10-20 minutes and monitor your health. Your eyes might become red and sore, but this should die down after a while as the alcohol begins to dry out. If the pain doesn’t go away, or something doesn’t feel right, speak to a doctor quickly, as in severe cases, IPA can burn your corneas. What should I do if I ingest the fursuit spray?
If you end up breathing in or swallowing a little bit of the spray, you shouldn’t have anything to worry about. You might have an unpleasant aftertaste, but as the alcohol and scent oils can be diluted with water, make sure you drink plenty to wash it all out. You should be fine, but in the case that you swallow too much or start feeling unwell, do not hesitate to call a doctor or poison control.
Using your fursuit spray
How should I use a fursuit spray?
Unfortunately, not all fursuit sprays come with instructions on how to use them safely. All sprays are made with slight differences, but to ensure that you are using them all safely, you can follow these instructions:
-Keep out of sunlight. Especially if your fursuit spray bottle is transparent or clear (lets more light in), keep the bottle away from heat and direct sunlight. Not only are these sprays flammable, but the warmth of the sun’s light will cause the IPA to evaporate fast. The water will evaporate too, but at a slower rate.
-Keep the lid on tight. To prevent spills and to make the bottle more air-tight against evaporation, make sure your spray bottle lid is on securely. Some bigger spray bottles may even have a locking feature, so make sure to use this in between spraying your fursuit.
-Shake the fursuit spray before use. Essential oils and fragrance oils can settle or separate amongst the alcohol and water. To infuse everything properly, hold the lid down firmly and give it a good shake! Even when not using your spray, remember to shake it regularly to keep everything good as new.
-Test first on a sheet of paper, napkins or a white towel (or scrap fur if you have any!) Leave the spray to dry for about 30 minutes and see if the paper is stained, is still wet or smells strongly of IPA. This will give an indication of how to use the spray on your fursuit. When you feel confident to use the spray on your fursuit, always do a patch test first on a small area before using it all over.
-Spraying inside vs outside. Most fursuit sprays advise that you only use them internally to avoid damage to the outside of your fursuit. I personally suggest only using the spray internally if your fursuit is lined. IPA can loosen or remove glue. If your fursuit is not lined, the spray may seep deeper into the exposed foam and loosen any glue that is holding the fur to your fursuit. You don’t want it falling apart!
-Cover your fursuit’s eyes. If you decide it is safe to spray your fursuit internally and externally, whatever you do, just make sure to cover your fursuit’s eyes before spraying. Remember, the IPA can strip paint or make it bleed!
-Spray from a distance, about 30cm or more. This helps the spray to disperse evenly across your fursuit and not build up in one concentrated area. This will ensure your suit dries quicker and it reduces the chance of damage to your fursuit.
-Leave your suit to dry fully. While pure IPA evaporates really quick, most fursuit sprays are diluted with a lot of water which does not evaporate as fast. To prevent mould growing or any other nastiness, make sure you leave your fursuit to dry fully in a well ventilated area before wearing.
-Don’t wear a fursuit that still smells strongly of IPA. After the alcohol has fully evaporated, you should no longer be able to smell it and you should be left with a fursuit that smells like whatever scent your spray is. Once the alcohol has dried, the fursuit is safe to wear. Remember, IPA can cause serious damage to your health. Don’t take any risks!
